How we look after
your information.

Who runs this site
Resonans is a student project run by Benjamin Gillis, a student at the Royal Danish Academy of Music (DKDM). It is not an official DKDM service. Benjamin is responsible for your data (the “data controller”). Contact: benjamin.399vincent@gmail.com.
What we store
- Everyone who signs in: your email address, the name you give us, and your role.
- Musicians: the portfolio you write (bio, repertoire, what you’re looking for), your photo and recordings, and the contact details you choose to add.
- People looking for musicians: the requests you post, including the fee and place, plus a private address and email that only you and the moderator can see.
- Messages and reports you send through the site.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie keeps you signed in.
Why we store it
We use your information only to run Resonans: to show portfolios and gigs, let members contact each other, send sign-in and password emails, and keep the site safe. The legal basis is that you ask to use the service (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)) and our interest in preventing misuse (art. 6(1)(f)). We never sell your data or use it for marketing.
Who helps us run it
- Supabase stores the database, photos and recordings on servers in Stockholm, Sweden (EU).
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Brevo (France, EU) sends sign-in and password emails.
These companies only process data on our behalf and under data processing agreements.
Who can see what
- Anyone can see live portfolios and a short version of each request — without the seeker’s name or the fee.
- Only signed-in musicians see who posted a request and what it pays.
- Email addresses and phone numbers are only shown to signed-in members, and only if the musician chose to show them.
- Messages are only visible to the sender, the recipient and the moderator.
- The moderator can see everything in order to keep the site safe. Every moderator action is logged.
How long we keep it
Your data stays until you delete it. Old gig requests are closed automatically after their date. Accounts with no sign-in for 24 months may be deleted after a warning email.
Your rights
You can edit or delete your portfolio and requests at any time, and delete your whole account in Settings. You also have the right to see a copy of your data, have it corrected, or object to how it is used — email benjamin.399vincent@gmail.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to Datatilsynet, the Danish Data Protection Agency (datatilsynet.dk).
Staying safe
- Never send bank details, passwords or ID in a message. Payment happens after the gig, as agreed with the organiser.
- Only share recordings where everyone in them has agreed.
- If something looks wrong, use the Report link on the profile or request. The moderator will look at it.
